If you are looking to escape the tourist infused chaos that is Capri, this is an ideal escape route. We hiked the 2.25 miles from Anacapri to the Forta (accessible via local bus in lieu of walking. Note this bus uses different tickets than the...More

We went to Capri principally to go on this walk. It didn't disappoint. Go to the lighthouse, then back track on the road until you come to a sign for the first fort on the left. Just before the fort, on the right the trail...More

Well marked trail with interesting signs on the local fauna, flora, and history along the way. It's not hugely strenuous, but is up and down, and I suspect would be more challenging in Summer. You do need to take your own supplies.

You truly can see forever! Wear comfortable shoes, it’s quite a treck but worth every step. We started at the lighthouse and walked toward the Grotto Azzurra, easy to pace yourself and you need to do that so you can drink in the views. You...More

Quite long walk. Beautiful views and interesting with the old castellos. Bring your best shoes and a lot of sun screen. We were drenched in sweat when we arrived at Faro so bring swimwear so you can have a dip.

We took note of previous reviews and started our walk from the Faro Lighthouse end, walking toward Grotto Azzurra. We started the walk a little late around 10am. The sun was shining and warm. We took plenty of water. As with previous reviewers I agree...More

We got up at 5:00am to take the first bus out to Anacapri at 6:00am. At 6:30am we took a second bus to the blue Grotto. Before 8am and after 5pm, locals swim inside the cave, so we started our day with a short swim....More

We did this Spring so the weather was mild and the flowers were out. Quite demanding and not always easy to follow the right path, but worth it.

We started in the morning from Il Faro di Punta Carena and finished at the Grotto Azzurra. This is a better direction in the morning given the sun orientation. The views were beautiful; there is not much left from the forts but a few ruins....More

There are a number of bars and cafes that run beachclub facilities and they have shower options, however you may need to pay a small fee for this. You mention 'early morning swim', I'm not sure what time these cafes open... More
