Just a simple visit to it won’t harm... there’s a sign on the left of the entrance that tells the story of islands.

A good piece of preserved history. Mass starts at 7:30pm. There's a sign giving a brief history of the island. The structure still stands strong as well as the painting and decoration.

Sitting atop of the main square this imposing building was a superb example of early Portuguese architecture. Unlike many I have seen the interior was fairly starc by comparison, but never the less. Well worth a visit and a photograph to remember..
