Experience the lake using the traditional dug-out canoes. We will paddle to Punishment Island, Forest Island and others and learn about south western Uganda as well as the history of this beautiful lake.

I had never been in a dugout canoe before, but this was very enjoyable. I felt perfectly safe at all times, but a little sorry for the canoe man who paddled stoically for two and a half hours into a strong head wind.
The trip was just over 2 hrs 30 mins, and was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the views
Not much wildlife to spot, got brief glimpse of a beaver type creature and a few birds.
BUT the views were magnificant, water still with perfect mirror...More
