Beautiful setting between Le Morne Brabant and the beach it is worth having a stroll around if in this area. The artwork is very impressive but there is little information about the significance of slavery and the maroons in this area. Well worth a walk...More

The place is giving you a 'page" of Mauritius history. The mountain, and the statues placed at the foot of it makes you feel humble.

had a chance to visit this monument for a quick 15 mins and review all the memories of the harsh lives of Slaves. Great that this place is protected by UNESCO.
