Cute animals
Aug 2021
I visited Buck Brook Alpacas while I was in Roscoe, NY. I went on-line first and booked my 45 minute tour. It was $12 and they ask if you want to add a tip. I arrived early and signed in at the store and got my ticket. There were six other people there in my tour group and our tour leader was a young girl who walked us through the farm and told us a lot about each animal. They have a pig, some rabbits, chickens and of course lots of alpacas and a couple of llamas. The tour guide was nice enough to let us pet a 3 day old alpaca. So cute! We were all given apple slices to feed the animals also. The farm is kept very clean and the faces on the alpacas are cute. I stopped at the store on my way out to buy some alpaca socks and a tee shirt. Definitely recommend visiting the alpacas.

AWESOME!

Awesome time at this farm! Everyone is super nice and knowledgeable! We did the basic farm tour ($10) that you need to make reservations for. It was a tour about 45 minutes. There are more expensive tours where you can get closer to the alpacas. Our tour was a group of 8.

You learn about farm life and the animals. You get to fees the alpacas as well!!!

The gift shop was adorable. There are barn cats wondering around with chickens. You can see alpacas, pheasants, rabbits, and pigs.

There is also an air bnb on site and the pictures of the inside look beautiful.

I will definitely go back with friends!

Great fun for adults and kids

Our young guide (his name escapes me) was informative and debonair. Feeding apples to the Alpacas as well as petting then was a cool experience. My 2.5 year old loved it!

Great tour of the alpaca farm! Our guide took us around the farm in about 45 minutes and we got to pet and feed alpacas and rabbits. There is also a pig, chickens, and pheasants. The kids loved it and so did the adults (somewhat surprisingly!) We all learned a lot about alpacas!

Great little farm with lovely alpacas
Oct 2019
The family was busy with chores and their store was closed, but we got to wander the barns and go up to the fields. Petted these lovely animals, which they have in a wide variety of colors. The farm is out of the way, so we needed GPS to find it, but wandering the area in the peak of fall color made it worth the ride. I think kids might like this too!

Highlight of the trip for both kids and adults!

When I look back at my pictures from our week at Villa Roma I think this Alpaca farm was the highlight. We arrived in three cars with 8 kids and 8 adults and we all had a blast.

Our guide, whose name I cannot remember but she was from Brooklyn, was outstanding! You could tell that she loves and respects all the animals at the farm and based on how the animals interacted with her, they thought highly of her too. For about 30 minutes she didn't stop talking and we were so intrigued with all her knowledge about these animals we probably could have spent another 30 minutes with her.

The alpacas are so friendly and some of them are so cute that when I showed friends pictures they asked if they were stuffed animals. The rabbits were nice and their is a pig who wanders around the property like a dog.

The country store is a great place to show your appreciation for the free tour (we also made a nice donation to the farm for the tour) and get some very high end wool items. My wife got a gorgeous overcoat and I got a very fun T-shirt that has a huge alpaca face on it.

What a wonderful time I think this is a must-see location if you are in the area.

My husband and I took our 18 month old daughter to visit the alpaca farm. The place is immaculate! So very clean. The young woman who took us around was so friendly and knowledgable. She had a bowl of sliced apples for our daughter to feed the alpacas. This was a pleasant experience during our awful stay at Villa Roma (will review that soon). Our daughter loved it! They had rabbits and pheasants and a pet pig named Daisey. There is also a gift shop with different items made of alpaca fibers. Cant wait to try our soap. We recommend stopping here for a cute little adventure.
