Bus system has lots of customers on coaches which are often crowded so that some will have to stand. Tickets are purchased on the bus by an efficient ticket taker, once he wades his way down the aisle. One euro eighty fare is reasonable. A/C...More

The bus system is a basic a to b system on coaches rather than mini busses ,which would be far more suitable for the roads on santorini. They can get rammed as noticed at a bus stop along from the bus station . We were...More

The bus system is basic but works reasonably well, some times you don’t get a seat and sometimes a little late but at a cost of between €1.80 to €2.30 per segment it suited our budget. We were staying ai Oia (Ee ah) so from...More

The busses are newer & comfortable, but you need to realize they are on "island time", so don't use them if you're in a hurry. We found they weren't always on time, but a good way to get around, if you are patient.

I took the bus to Red Beach, they don't drop you off at the beach, you have to walk around fifteen minutes to get there. Many of the restaurants you have to walk by try to get you to stop and eat or drink. Only...More

As others have said the station is chaotic and dangerous, some driver/conductors rude shouting at passengers to hurry. The buses are good, cheap and regular. To those comments I would add, check your change and good luck avoiding a driver attempting his personal best time. We...More

In some ways the bus service in Santorini is excellent, you can get just about anywhere on large comfortable coaches for 2 euros. But the bus station at Fira is unnecessarily chaotic and actually quite dangerous. Some of the buses have their destinations at the...More
