The sunset is the same where ever you stay facing the caldera, but it has to be done. 100s of other people are thinking the same, so get there at least 40 mins before the sun sets or you will be standing behind a lot...More

This is my third time in Oia and I just love this place for its beautiful view, a wide selection of restaurants, cafes, shops, hotels, churches, architecture building all within walking reach.

Sunset at Oia is something to look forward to. The crowds gather very fast, so you must get there in time to get a good view. There are a few restaurants from where you can get a good view as well.

The beautiful views are spoil by hordes from cruises. Best find somewhere off the beaten track, the Tramonto lounge is a good spot but get there early

....and walk about 50 metres past the throngs to a little patch of waste-ground. Much less crowded, and a good view over the windmills to give your sunset photo some much needed foreground for perspective. Just push through the throng and keep going! Oh, and...More

You can’t visit this beautiful Greek Island without seeing the sunset at least once! You have to get there early (at least 1 hour before), to find the perfect spot to take the shot (and it wasn’t even peak season when we visited)! We were...More

The truth about Santorini is that it’s sadly a victim of it’s own popularity. True, the views from the walk from Fira to Oia are spectacular and the cave house buildings and white and blue churches that cover the hills are very picturesque and photogenic....More

everyone collects at the edge of the mountain to witness a beautiful long lasting sunset. Do walk all the way to the fort early as it gets full really quickly

Witnessing the sun set over Oia is a bucket list item. Splurge and grab dinner at one of the fabulous restaurants with a view of the sunset. We recommend Catch.

The sunset is good viewed from Oia if you like crowds!!! We stayed in Imerovigli and by far the best sunsets we saw were from here not only less people but the backdrops are stunning.
