If you find yourself in Beaucaire why not visit the Chateau ? Interesting wreck of a place. Not a French highlight as Beaucaire is more off the beaten track.

This is one of our favorite places in Europe. It's so quaint with so much history. And if you think it's rustic and underdeveloped now you should have seen it 10 yr ago! This is an amazing place to visit and absorb the past.

We stopped in Beaucaire on the way back to the airport. We parked and walked down the side of the Sete canal towards the town and the castle. There was dog mess everywhere which literally meant not being able to look up at the buildings...More
