Niagara Falls Grand Helicopter Adventure

First-time visitors to Canada likely have Niagara Falls at the top of their to-do list and the most incredible views of the falls are from above. This helicopter tour offers almost double the time in the air to other tours, so you can enjoy views of not only the American, Bridal Veil, and Canadian Horseshoe Falls, but Niagara-on-the-Lake, Niagara wine country, and along the Niagara River.

During the winter the view is limited but still cool to see as everything is frozen. So beautiful! To go down it is $5 a person and for Covid they make sure you take an elevator down with just you and your group.

I don’t think you get a complete experience without this. This is a wonderful sensation. The feel of being under the falls is just mesmerizing. The nations heaviest falls falling upon you or having it as a background is nostalgic. I really recommend it although when I went they offered a smaller version of it due to CoVID-19. But this is a great experience!

Memorable part of the trip. There are really two options in seeing the falls up-close; that would be Maid of the Mist or Cave of the Winds. We decided to do Cave of Winds. 19$/adult. {Children under 5 are free and "youth" 6-12 are 16$. I recommend wearing water shoes and having a towel, socks and dry shoes in the car. You are given a poncho and allowed to roam on your own - free to take photos and video. Pretty cool experience. (If you go by car, there is a 10$ parking fee to park at Goat Island). You will quickly notice that 10$ for parking seems to be the trend in these parts. But make it worth it and walk around!

We went in November and either due to the pandemic or just off season, we did not get as close to the waterfalls as we thought. We did not get wet and did not receive or need a poncho. I believe the tickets were $7 a person so I am not sure if that is discounted from the "regular" prices when you can go that close to the waterfall. But it was kinda cool to see the waterfall from the angle close to the ground but for just the view it wasn't really worth the time or money for us. Would have loved to actually be closer like we thought we would be. Maybe during the regular season and after Covid we would try this again

After looking down from up above, my girlfriend decided not to go as it looked like you would get soaked and they were not providing ponchos like the boat ride. The elevator ride was cool and a long tunnel walk got you outside again. A short walk to the woodwork and you could self explore the different levels. The roar of the water was awesome! As I got to the top level I found out that you could stay relatively dry if you wanted! I took some photos and one video and looked around at the beautiful sights! As I headed back to the elevator, I was told that all of the wood was removed each Fall before Winter so it would not be destroyed by falling ice! I would highly recommend anyone visiting the falls to experience this !
