Huge and beautiful from the outside! It makes a great landmark in Huye District as it stands out in this rural area.

This is the place where missionaries relocated avoiding to frighten the local authorities in the colonial era. It is where most of best scholl were concentrated including the University of Rwanda

The cathedral is the largest in Rwanda, close to city center, but the road to it is full of dust (if it rains is even worse). The (new) fence is not ready yet, even if the building was finished in 1930s.

I used to go to pray in this Cathedrale when I was doing my bachelor degree at National University of Rwanda. The Cathedrale is so big and quit. I request every roman catholic who visit Butare to take 30 min to visit this beautiful Cathedrale.

The largest Church building of its era. The brick works & grounds well designed. Once inside you feel truly close to God.
