Apart from being an amazing expanse of water in the desert it has, below the wall, an amazing distillery, well worth stopping over.

The viewing area is not too exiting but still worthwhile. A nice drive to reach the area. There is a small snack place. Lots of flies around.

My family (4 adults 1 Child) visited the Dam in August 2015. While the views from the general parking area of the dam wall and dam in general are spectacular, the area needs some tlc as to improve its general appearance
