Overview
More
At Tribal textiles we produce unique hand-painted textiles in the heart of the African Bush. We aim to create exquisite textiles whilst working in harmony with nature and benefiting the local community. Since we were founded in 1991, we have grown from a small group of local artists to a thriving international business employing over 100 locals. Our textiles mix traditional African art with contemporary designs, drawing inspiration from the stunning wildlife and surroundings here in the South Luangwa valley. Each piece is hand painted by local Zambian men and women.

Not aLot of variety. Mostly fabric goods. Alittle pricey. They do, however, make everything there and you can view the process. Proceeds go to community.

NIce shop, nice things. Not cheap, and no space to bargain. But if you look for nice tablecloth or something like that, do visit them

What a fascinating shop. Get a tour if you can as it is quite fascinating how this team work. Stock Azimai candles that smell delicious. Enjoy. A real treasure and credit to Zambia.

If you're staying anywhere near Mfuwe please come here to buy your souvenirs. The business trains and employs local people and supports much needed community projects. Plus their products are beautifully designed and top quality.
