The Chequers, Wimbotsham, is a traditional village pub dating back to the mid 17th Century. Set within the heart of the picturesque village of Wimbotsham overlooking the village green, there are a number of good walks in the area centred around the pub. The Chequers is now under new ownership from the 18th April 2013 and is a family run Freehouse pub led by Linda and her niece Kim. We serve home cooked food, real ales and have been awarded cask marque.We are family friendly,have disabled access and welcome dogs. We also hold a Quiz night on a Thursday Evening 9pm start alternates between General Knowledge and Music there are free refreshments £1.00 Entry winnings are donated to local charities

We often go for a lovely lunch here .either with friends or as a couple . They do a lovely 2 course lunch for amazing£6.95. Monday to Saturday. And have a nice sitting area outside also .

Came to the Chequers for lunch as a family group of 14 ranging in age from 5 to 80! Seated in comfortable side room with horseshoe table arrangement so we could enjoy each other's company and tables were easy to reach. Food was amazing, tasty...More

Absolutely amazing, love the pub. Love the atmosphere, love the staff, love the service. Can't fault it. What more is there to day.
