About
Damiani Wine Cellars celebrates the unique microclimate and dramatic landscape that is New York's Finger Lakes. We cultivate several vineyards nestled along the eastern shores of Seneca Lake where we purposefully limit the amount of fruit per vine to achieve concentrated flavors, and work with other premier growers in the area to source the finest grapes each vintage. The results are wines yielding extraordinary complexity and finesse, wines showing distinct character and expression of the land.

Excellent red wine selection
Sep 2021 • Couples
I’m a fan or red wines and my wife likes white wines. Either way, you can’t go wrong here. They have some of the best reds I’ve tasted in the area.

Something a little different in world of FLX's wineries.
Aug 2021
We had hired a driver for the day to take us to the Seneca side of the FLX's. This was our last stop on our Seneca tour. I have a map of the area and I could not find Damiani listed on it anywhere. We were glad the driver knew of it. We had thought we were done for the day and he said just one more I want to take you to. And we did enjoy our visit there. The tasting room is beautiful, very unique lighting fixtures. Not your typical winery, it was just nice to sit there and admire the lighting and surroundings. We indulged in just one more tasting since we had the driver, that is what we hired one for, so wine not? We enjoyed our tasting and in the end decided on MC2 a red blend that seemed like it would go well with just about everything and we do appreciate that in a wine. Staff was nice, nice in explaining about the wines we were tasting. It was a nice way to end our day as number 6 of the day. I would return to it and tell folks about it. Just something a little unique as for as wineries.

Disappointed
Oct 2020 • Friends
We have visited this place many years ago and enjoyed all the wines and staff.
We did both dry flights; not up to what had before.
This place had the highest tasting fees.

Reds!!
Oct 2020
We are big fans of dry reds and weren’t sure how they’d be in New York. But this place was great! Really nice guy who was working there and I love the spaced out picnic tables outside!

Horrible attitude
Oct 2020 • Couples
We were so excited to try, especially with me being a lover of red. The lady at the outside bar was wonderful. My husband walked upstairs and was immediately yelled at for doing so and "intruding" on a private tasting. There were zero signs stating an area was off limits, and we are happy to respect those if they had been present as we were just out for a day trip. The exchange was riddled with attitude and if they had just asked him to have returned downstairs, it would have been fine. Instead, the owner talked down to us and refused to admit the rudeness or try to remedy their situation. It should be noted a full refund was requested and acquiesced as opposed to trying to actually recover the situation they had created.

We will update if the refund is not actually received.

Dear Michelle, I am so sorry you feel this way. We want any and all our customers to have an outstanding experience. Unfortunately, what you describe is not accurate. No one from Damiani ever "yelled" or acted rudely. When your husband came upstairs, I politely asked if I could help him and explained that the upstairs was for private tastings. He seemed very understanding, we exchanged thumbs-up and he went back downstairs. No harm, no foul. About 5 minutes later you came upstairs, without your husband, clearly in a foul frame of mind, speaking in a voice that some might describe as yelling. To me it appeared you had been drinking. You said I was rude and demanded a refund. I apologized saying (we have security video of the exchange), "I apologize if he feels that way, it certainly was not my intent... Of course, I will be happy to give you a refund". I immediately asked my colleague to give you the refund. Although, I doubt you will take me up on it, I would be happy to have you back at the winery to enjoy our wines and discuss the this situation and ways we can make the customer experience better in the future. Have a great day, Cole Wilson Director of Operations

Very nice setup

I'm not a huge fan of dry wines but we tried here because we had some free tastings. I was pleasantly surprised to have liked a few of the white wines and I loved the atmosphere outside. Very relaxing with a great view of the lake.

A great FIND of this year’s finger lakes winery trip
Jun 2020 • Couples
We stopped here mostly by chance one afternoon and were greeted by Jeremy, who soon poured us a tasting flight of consistently enjoyable reds. Aside from his interesting and entertaining descriptions of the wines, he provided many recommendations of other wineries in the area we would likely enjoy. He shared a taste of some limited batch Cabernet Franc and before long we were voluntarily signing up for the wine club, since pretty much every wine we tried was better than average and the perks are appealing. Another plus: dog-friendly place! Definitely worth visiting!

Excellent reds in tasting - confirmed at Thanksgiving
Oct 2019 • Couples
Our first Finger Lakes East Side of Seneca Lake tasting. As a red wine lover I was bowled over by the lemberger (Blaufrankisch grape), Cabernet Franc, and Meritage (left bank style Bordeaux type wine). Got a case if 3+3+6, respectively. Enjoyed by family at Thanksgiving. Lemberger much more appealing the day after opening, can franc probably still young and the Meritage enjoyable now but likely better after a few. Wonderfully knowledgeable staff at tasting - the only winery I walked out with a 12 bottle case. Highly recommended.
