We always visit the Abbey when in the area. The location and architecture are beautiful. do not miss the tiled passageway. There is also an excellent shop selling products made by the brothers, especially their cheese.

This is a small, beautiful abbey right by Saint-Benoit-du-Lac, with incredible views (especially in autumn) and a great gift shop that includes the wonderful cheese made by the Brothers. Worth going out of your way for. Peaceful, serene, gorgeous.

Magnificent grounds and architecture. The story of the monks who live and work here is very interesting. Free parking, no admission fee. The gift shop is a must. Candy, cheeses, books (in French and some in English) and assorted religious knickknacks. If I lived near...More

The Abbaye de Saint-Benoit-du-Lac is a group of large, imposing buildings but only the church and the store are open to the public (as could be expected). However it is definitely worth seeing. Try to go when there is a mass being said - the...More
