Walking on the beach will never be the same again, as my awareness to the life on the beach, in the sky and the plants on the dunes, by the guides, Jason, Christof and Billie, was not only informative but funny too. The stretch of coast is very diverse, from round pebble beaches, sandy deserted flat expanses, to rocky black rocks with hints of the wrecks that lie there. It was a dream hike, one that I would walk again and again with the lekker people I met and with the guides who showed us their world.. Swimming in the aqua, freezing water, make me feel so alive. YOU MUST SWIM! I didn't stay at the Lucky fish as it was full, but from what I experienced, it was spacious, well run and a place to relax after a long hot 15Km walk.

The Lucky Fish guest house where you stay for the duration of the tour is amazing, the food was excellent. The tour guides are very knowledgeable, I learnt alot about marine life, plants and birds. The scenery is spectacular. Jason is a wonderful host. I would recommend this tour to anybody.

We just completed the 4 day, 54km Perlemoen Trail in Pearly Beach. Our guide, Jason Stonehewer, led us through isolated parts of the Western Cape coast where he, as well as 2 other guides, taught us about the plants and animals of the area but mostly the trail was about the walking, pushing yourself beyond the blisters and sore legs to the endpoint where a cold drink and wonderful food awaits. Jason really goes above and beyond to cater to your every need and we were spoilt with delicious meals and trail snacks. I highly recommend this trail.

A beautiful part of our country. Our host Jason is a real people person and really went out of his way to make our 4 day trip a memorable one. The Lucky Fish guesthouse was great, spacious, neat, beautiful view of the ocean. The guides were well informed and very friendly. Food at both guesthouse and restaurants in the area was great. An easy, slackpacking guided tour. Can definitely recommend.

This Trail is a truly wonderful experience-not to be missed. Not only is the walk beautiful in terms of scenery but when our group of 12 hiked this month we saw an abundance of whales and the flowers were still in bloom. The birders in our group were also treated to a vast range of marine and fynbos birds. But what sets this Trail apart from others we have hiked was the educational experience as Jason, Christoff and Grant imparted their vast knowledge of marine life and the flora and fauna. Their love of nature and dedication to the environment are remarkable. The Lucky Fish (house) as a base for each day's hike was extremely comfortable, well equipped and lent itself to creating a great atmosphere to relax ,braai and mix with one another. It is also well located should you wish to go to a local restaurant or the Craft Brewery for an evening meal. The daily hikes are not too strenuous, if you are reasonably fit, and you have a chance to swim in some azure pools. Jason was fantastically helpful and could not do enough to make our hike wonderful. The consensus amongst our group was that this was an experience of a lifetime and we would unreservedly recommend it to nature lovers-so good for the soul!
