A typical trip will have you exploring our magnificent coastline and bay while looking for whales, dolphins, sharks, seals and seabirds. Apart from the Southern Right Whales, we are able to view Brides Whales, Humpback Whales and possibly even Great White Sharks. There are many Cape Fur Seals, African Penguins, Dolphins, Sunfish and plenty of coastal marine birds to been seen whilst out at sea.

Whilst we have the best land based whale watching in the world around Hermanus, to actually be out on the water with these wonderful creatures is a completely different experience. I can highly recommend Ivanhoe Sea Safaris for the professional manner in which they conduct...More

Ivanhoe was recommend to us and was well worth the trip. The boat only accommodates a smaller group of people, so it's ideal & not over crowded. The Skipper & Crew were very professional and filled us in on some interesting facts about the whales....More

We chose this tour as it was based out of a good location for where we were staying. We got to see several groups of whales very close. I was reassured by the way the crew conducted things and would thoroughly recommend this boat.

Although it was early season we managed to see a few southern whales quite close. The boat was not packed with people so it was nice. Good value for money.

We went on the 10 am trip on 10/8/16. From start to finish the only way to describe our experience is "excellent". The crew and skipper were very friendly and informative. We saw about 10 or more whales (some with babies). The Company is very...More
