The farm has been the jewel of the Bovlei valley for three centuries and has had many owners. The current farm dates from 1993 with the decision to grow high quality wine grapes. The first vines were planted in 1995. Since the present owners acquired it in 2003, they have built a winery, tasting room and storage complex. In 2005, the farm was given Estate status.

We had to go and stock our red wines we discovered this Estate a few months ago and fell in love with their red wines. We went back to purchase a few more. What a great find.

We visited this estate when on the Wellington Wine Walk. Stunningly beautiful estate nestling in the valley. Wine tasting room is beautiful too but has no soul. The lady who poured wine only knew details on bottle. Wine maker was not present. This winery makes...More

It is worth getting off the beaten track and visiting this farm. Their wines are excellent, after three years of drinking them at different occasions.

Right at the end of the Bo-vlei road and right beneath Bainskloof pass with stunning scenery. I enjoyed their wines and had a nice cold meat and cheese platter for lunch. Friendly service and a must do estate if you're after good wines

Hidden? Yes, at the top of a verdant valley, reached down a dusty road past ancient farmhouses. Finally green paddocks, with horses clearly in fine fettle, to park under a shade of packed sticks. A short walk uphill, into a courtyard filled with tables and...More

The wine estate is a hidden treasure with great wines, enjoy the wine tasting and do the walk. There is no big show - it is about the wine. The wines are great and price is more than reasonable.

Down a long dirt track, Doolhof sits in beautiful grounds in it's own tranquil valley. Great wines to taste (been a fan for a few years now and occasionally find them in the UK so to do their wine tasting was a must when in...More

We only had a tasting but there was a wide selection and all wines were available at a competitive price for a tasting. Beautiful setting and accommodation looked very good. Nice choice of walks by the river or through the vineyards with dramatic scenario. Part...More
