Making more whisky here than the entire country of Australia gives you a sense of production. Three ships and Bains being the flagship brands from this still along with some gins and other by products of production. The tour itself lasts around an hour and the a selection of tastings are all on offer prebookable via online booking platforms. This is a must do for any whisky drinker.

We had booked as a group from the Cape Town Whisky Club.

Great cocktails on arrival, fantastic AV session and then an in depth and hands on tour of the production facilities and maturation warehouse.

Wrapped up by a superb tasting of 5 whiskies which are served alongside some great food options.

We had the bonus of 2 extra limited edition whiskies which were added to the tasting.

Brilliant experience, one of the best distillery tours in the world.

We decided to do the Sedgwick's tasting and pairing being whiskey lovers and knowing their Three Ships blend very well. The morning did not disappoint. From the welcome cocktail to the distillery tour and wealth of knowledge imparted by our guide, we had a fantastic experience.
The whiskey sampling, along with excellent pates and two sweet treats reinforced the notion that whiskey can be a drink paired well across a variety of meals.
Be warned: the Bains 15 year old is seriously good and almost definitely have you parting with your hard-earned salary. Worth every cent!
Highly recommended!

My wife and i booked a tour of the distillery and a tasting of the excellent whiskies on offer over the recent heritage long weekend. The tour and tasting was very professionally conducted by our host Colin and was a pleasant distraction from the vineyards. It was nice to see how both the Three Ships and Bains brands have developed over the years with a range of different ages and maturation types on offer. The distillery itself is very impressive and overall we had grand experience.
