We went on the recommendation of someone else who told us about the river where you could swim. We went straight there on a very hot day and saw all the flowers on the river- a beautiful scene. The game driving produced less results with only one bontebok sighting.

Love this relatively unknown game park. Great swimming in the river and good accommodation - recommended

Lovely place, good roads, excellent visitors center, lovely place to picnic on the edge of the river. Birds and antelope easy to spot with binoculars.

Evening drive through this little park, and we saw many of the pretty Bonteboks in their natural setting.

Our visit here was easy to negotiate being only a few miles from the town of Swellendam. We were rewarded with sightings of Bontebok, tortoises, birds and various other animals on our "I spy" chart. The elusive zebra didn't materialise. Visitors can buy their Wildcard pass here too.

This small park is devoted to preserving the endangered Bontebok which can be fairly easily spotted. More elusive were the Red Hartebeest and Cape Zebra, but with good binocs patience is rewarded. A fair selection of birds was visible down by the Breede river, to which we returned in the evening after the crowds (all six!) had left.

This is a small, but well run National Park near Swellendam. It has self catering chalets plus campsites. You won't see big game here, but there is nice birdlife, hares, tortoises, the odd snake, lots of bontebok and small bokkies, a lovely river to picnic by, and a small 'game drive' loop. Great for all the family, or just a... More

A gem of a National Park. I'm sure it gets much busier, but on our day there weren't many other people on the area. We signed in for our permit at the reception for 40R each and we're given a better map than the Marloth Nat. Res. The well maintained gravel roads are accessible by saloon cars at a speed... More

Our first excursion looking for wildlife lead us to this National Park. Travelling in the park is on dirt roads but apart from putting a layer of dust over the car is safe and easy to drive. We saw a tortoise on a short walk in the park and several bontebok at close range, even though it was the middle... More

Ha ha. This is a very nice place but it was also full of humor. Apparently it is the smallest national park in south Africa. we enjoyed it but you have to laugh a bit along the way
