We took a drive out for the day. Nice scenery, a few buck. Good to just hang out and have a look at the river and flowers.

Whilst it took us a little while to find the park as the entrance seems to have moved recently we enjoyed the Acacia and Aloe Hill trails and the self drive through the park where we saw lots of bontebok, hartebeasts, deer and colourful birds....More

Plenty of Bontebok, Zebra and Hartebees. Not the mist exiting list regarding game but have allot more to offer. Takes 2 hours to drive through the park. Mountain bike route, not too strenuous. Hikes next to river. Great place for picnics.

We've been to Bontebok a few times and always have a relaxing time free of crowds. The picnic spot by the river is the best and the walks are pleasant - short and easy. The plant life is fascinating (spring especially) and on some visits,...More

It is clear they are trying to improve this park for visitors, with a new reception centre, trails being added etc. We spent a couple of hours here (no more needed) to do a short walk and the scenic drive. The walk was not that...More

Small park. The roads are quite bad so high clearance is advisable. Nice nature. Not many sightings. We did see lots of bontebok. They have some nice walks and pick-nick/braai spots along the river.

When we visited three weeks ago that was not necessary. I don't know about now with the South African Xmas holidays, but would still think it is not necessary.
