Camped in a hidey hole in the campsite in among the birds! Special park with wonderful walking trails esp for the little people. Did not see tortoise even tho there are lots of Beware of Tortoise Crossing Road signs!

SanParks under=rated and often over-looked - good value for money - Nice park safe for little children - walk or cycle no wild animals - facilities OK but nothing special -

The park and surroundings are great, though there are some thing not really clear. The roadsigns are not complete and some trails seem to be gone. Also the map is fairly inaccurate, not used to this from any Sanparks.

We loved the solitude, the walks and the sheer beauty of the place. The chalets are comfortable and well equipped.

We had 2 nights in the NP in a 2 bed room cottage. Great location, well fitted and comfortable. With no predators, the game is quite relaxed and if you have time and ability, you can walk and swim. A great introduction to Africa for...More

When we visited three weeks ago that was not necessary. I don't know about now with the South African Xmas holidays, but would still think it is not necessary.
