No food here and poorly demarcated trails. Granted this was middle of a pandemic but how hard is it to make an omelette?!? Very disappointed.

The most beautiful views and walks for all levels. The nature reserve is well cared for and a wonderful area of conservation for typical fynbos. Love it there.

Superb hiking trails any time of year for any age and fitness level. Scenic and well maintained reserve. Photographers will love this venue too! Look out for live concerts in summer too!

The reserve is a superb venue for hiking up and around the mountain with around 4 marked routes of varying difficulty. Beginners are catered for too. There is a lovely dam with a nice cafe serving reasonably priced light meals and snacks. Picnics are on the lawns just inside the entrance in the shade of several trees. Lovely place to spend a few hours at minimal cost.

I agreed to go for a 'walk' with a lovely friend and discovered where we were going to be a lot more adventurous than I'd expected. It was hot, but we left quite late in the day. The tracks (in my inexperienced opinion) are well laid out and easily accessible. The views are spectacular. Some of the paths are quite treacherous with lots of loose gravel, but overall it was a great walk that I look forward to doing again. The availability of annual membership definitely makes it more appealing. The glass of fresh orange juice from the little cafe at the end was MOST welcome and the ladies who served us were very sweet and patient with our request for copious amounts of ice. I would definitely recommend this adventure to anyone with the patience and strength to just go for it. Just take it slow and enjoy the views ;)
