About
There’s a place, in close proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, on the foothills of a mountain where nature reigns. Amongst undulating hills and valleys of decomposed shale, unspoilt nature stitches in vineyards and olives trees; roots dug deep into the soil, canopies arched towards the South African sun. Only 74 ha of the 200 ha estate is under vine and olive trees, the rest is given over to the mountains and the wetlands where eagles carve through the sky and owls roost in trees close to the cellar door. Visit our contemporary tasting room, perched on the edge of a dam, with views of mountains and wetlands. Visitors can experience a variety of both wine and olive oil tastings in this bucolic setting.

Beautiful winefarm, good restaurant, nice service , easy parking
I specially recommend the risotto: it was made of italian sausage andcred wine.

Olive and wine tasting is worth it. The tasting room is beautiful with indoor and outdoor seating. Wine taste is also worth it. Don’t leave without buying the delicious Lemon infused olive oil!

Morgenster "Wine Farm and Olive Estate" keeps the promises their name makes. They offer a choice of wine tastings including one that is coupled with an olive oil tasting. Unfortunately, the waiter doesn't take much time to explain the wines instead just montonously recites memorized sentences (and I would not be surprised if all the waiters were saying the same). The platters have a good size with a good variety of cold cuts, olives and cheese.

Helpful and informative staff. We tasted the olives and oils and learned a lot about olive oil from farming to pressing to tasting. The olives and olive paste was delicious and we thoroughly relaxed in the atmosphere created. Highlight is lemon infused virgin olive oil

We recently had lunch at the Botanicum restaurant, and was overwhelmed with the food and service. The home made pasta dish was tasty and melted in your mouth, the trout was excellent with a crispy skin to die for.Excellent glass of wine to pair. What a perfect location with the well kept gardens and dam to look out on.I can highly recommend this venue

Aphiwe served us and her service ensured that our visit was top notch, so much so that we left with bottles of wine and will be ordering more online. Beautiful wine, beautiful views and wonderful service. Vibes all the way.

Awesome view across a little lake to the mts. We had a reasonable food platter & a interesting olive tasting ....but chaotic service. Wrong order delivered slooooowly. We did enjoy the lemon infused olive oil drizzled over ice cream.

Some friends took us to visit this venue as they were raving about it and they were not wrong. Really nice spot, staff very friendly and knowledgable, we enjoyed the "italian connection" on the origin of the grapes, the outlook was pleasant. we had the cheeseboard with wine and it was really good, will totally be going back to this place on next trip.
