About
Paraglide Africa is a SAHPA registered paragliding school affiliated with SACAA and internationally recognized by FAI through the Aero club of South Africa. We offer paragliding tandem experiences, training, tours and guiding in and around Capetown and the Garden route. We strive to be industry leaders driven by professionalism, international trends and standards, with safety as our main concern. Paraglide Africa was founded by three experienced pilots; Theunis de Bruin and Rouberre Botha with the aim to share their passion of flying with others and grow the paragliding sport in South Africa and Africa as a whole.

What an allround awesome experience! Making the booking with Michael was easy, he was informative and managed expectations with upcoming weather conditions. On the day I arrived and was introduced to Theunis who was my tandem flight instructor. His passion for his sport together with breath taking scenery made this an unforgetable experience!

What an incredible experience! My husband decided her would like to paragliding, I wasn’t interested in going at all, happy to support the hubby and watch him from a safe distance. My husband had such an amazing experience and the professionalism of the gentlemen that took him on the tandem flight convinced me and put my mind at ease and I decided to take the plunge, it’s was so incredible and worth it!! Step by step clear instructions and absolutely professional the whole way through, felt completely at ease and even got some go pro pics afterwards from Paraglide Africa. Would HIGHLY recommend them if you are thinking of paragliding in the Wilderness, I was lucky enough to soar with the eagles and what an incredible view!

The team was to provide guidance for my paragliding improvement... but a recent injury prevented me from flying solo. Despite this, I turned up with my friends and saw a great team provide both training and guidance as they flew. Their readiness to take students on tandem flights for additional training raised the experience of the 2 weeks with them. What lifted them beyond others was their endeavour to keep us occupied on no-fly days, with interesting walks around the Garden Route, and even a safari drive at a private game reserve. I'm coming back once the injury heals!!!

Wonderful experience and overwhelming view! It was my first time paragliding and I felt totally safe and good. The pilots do it for a long time so you don’t have to feel nervous. The whole team is really nice and friendly. All in all it’s a beautiful way to see the landscape and totally smooth and relaxed. Want to do it again :-)

What an amazing experience!!
From being extremely nervous before take off to being left breathless by the calmness and the vista of the mountains, hills, valleys and ocean.

Booking tandem paragliding with Paraglide Africa was quick and easy with good communication. After a briefing and connecting the equipment we waited for the right moment, after a short run we were in the air, the feeling was amazing! Their site has great views over the garden route. Thanks Paraglide Africa, we will be back!

Before we arrived in SA our travel agent told us about paragliding in Cape Town from Signal Hill. Unfortunatelly the wind conditions didn't allow us to fly - or maybe we were lucky? Because the experience to paraglide in Sedgefield was just awesome! Our instructors André and Leon were very kind and got us on amazing flights we will remember for a long time. Thanks to Raveon and Amorae as well for supporting at the launchfield. If we come back to SA we will definetly do it again with Paraglideafrica!

Some of our friends and family were a bit nervous and scared at first,but the friendly pilots really put you at ease and make you feel safe and comfortable. They are excellent at what they do. All of our friends and family loved it. It was the most amazing experience ever! Incredible view too! Definitely worth it! The whole experience were just overall awesome! I definitely recommend this for your to do list. (Or your bucket list!)

I had loads of fun and a great morning paragliding and parawaiting with Theunis and his team! I was a bit unlucky with the wind so they picked me up the next day again and made sure I still made my bus in time. We even squeezed in a visit to the local market close by! They're also very professional and explained everything very well. I'll definitely do another one next time I'm in the area. Thanks Theunis =)
