Unwelcoming, got our coffee in takeaway cups, were still waiting for our children to join us, but was not even offered a table! Waitress so focussed in other guests! RedChinno was nothing more than rooibos with froth milk! Wanted to enjoy breakfast, but will never go back!

Great place for a rest stop. Lovely green outside eating area and clean inside area. Coffee shop with snacks and of course a winery shop. And there is always the big red chair to climb….

If you stop here for photos on the big red chair, skip the meals, but the coffee and wine is good. Service on the slow side though.

I was looking forward to tasting the Rooiberg wines as I had never had then before. A billboard just before arrival, reminds you not to forget to visit, the entrance announces that they are open for wine tasting and sales. But when you walk into the tasting room, you are told that they no longer do tasting. Then why advertise it?

We always stop for coffee and a snack at Rooiberg. The freshly baked pastries, pies, breakfast, and light meals are served by friendly staff.

We just stopped there for the first time, after driving past a lot. We were so glad we finally did stop.

Kids played in the garden and mom 7 dad could enjoy the wine.

The people was amazing and the wines great - we will be back!

I love the fact that Rooiberg is not just a Winery where you stop to taste wine, but that there is so much more to see and do. Thank you we enjoyed climbing the biggest red chair in Africa and placing our lock on the love lock wall. Rooiberg is definately worth a visit when in the area

Stopped here as we drove from Cape Town to the Garden Route via Swellendam. William was a wonderful host for our wine tasting. "Wine aficionados" 'might' likely will find holes in his knowledge, but my wife and friend and I just "know what we like" so he was super for us. And we liked the product. We liked the Pinotage Rose, Pinotage and Colombard, in particular, and filled our esky for the remainder of our trip. I prefer the rose when cold from the fridge. The food at the bodega was less impressive. My wife had the Greek Salad with chicken strips (off menu), and she enjoyed that. Beef in my pie was lovely but the pastry was soggy and meh, while my friend's burger was less than meh. Service was OK. Can recommend the wine heartily, but there will surely be better options for lunch (or any food) on the Robertson Wine Trail.
