Springfield Estate is a family owned wine estate situated in the Western Cape of Southern Africa. The Bruwers are descended from the French Hugenots and have been farming this land for five generations.

At Springfield Estate, we are passionate about our craft. We believe that our name is our most precious possession, and our motto, Made On Honour, applies to every facet of our being.

Our wine at Springfield Estate is made from single vineyards, mostly using natural yeast. This allows the character and the individuality of the grape to truly show itself. Due to our natural yeast fermentation, we strive to work as naturally as possible, both in the vineyard and the cellar.

As well as superb wine, the hosts are always interested and keen to assist. Lovely spot to chill out with some wine tasting, but bring your own picnic if you are hungry.

A perfect place to sit back and chill with a glass of good wine and an amazing view. I would definitely recommend anyone to pack a picnic basket and enjoy a beautiful day here in the south African sun.

Some of the wines are available in the U.K. and the staff were able to tell us which merchants and supermarkets sold them. The gardens are lovely but lunch is... More

Tasting good wines in a lovely setting by a lake is simply very nice. And we were lucky to speak a few words with the owner passing by.

We really enjoyed our afternoon at Springfield. Sitting by the water, sipping ( well maybe there was some guzzling) delicious Life From Stone Sauv Blanc. Good friends, good fun and excellent hosts! I would highly recommend Springfield.

I always knew I loved the wines but the overall experience was amazing. The incredible staff bent over backwards to accommodate and added so much to the overall experience. Whether doing a tasting or just sitting by the beautiful lake with a bottle of wine this Springfield is an essential stop off!

We enjoyed the excellent wine and wonderful atmosphere at this beautiful winery. We can highly recommend the place to relax at the pont and drink some wine in the shades of the old trees.
