About
Trading hours: BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Sat and Public holidays by appointment only. For updates to opening hours, please check Marbrin web site. We are a small family-run boutique olive farm nestled in the renowned Robertson Breede River Valley surrounded by the Langeberg and Riviersonderend Mountains. We extract extra virgin olive oil and process our own unique range of table olives and tapenade. Come and enjoy the ambience of the Robertson Valley as well as the taste of our olives and olive oil, a fruit well-known for its remarkable health benefits. Heading out of Robertson towards Ashton on the Red you will turn left into into Klaasvoogds East (NOT Klaasvoogds West) and travel for about another 2km's till you see the big green Marbrin Olive growers board on your right, turn in there and follow the dirt road for another 2KM'S till you reach the tasting room. Road can be a little bumpy in places, but worth it.

We were staying at our favourite haunt in the Robertson valley at Excelsior Manor guesthouse and through visiting here at Marbrin back in 2016, it is essential to book because these two very hard working people(husband and wife team, Clive and Bryony), have to plan around their working farm.
On this occasion it was Bryony who greeted us and gave the most informative, humorous, candid outlook into the world of Marbrin, the Olive oil industry in RSA and best of all the dutiful full tasting experience- these are our favourite Olive oils.
Fabulous experience, thank you once again and we will enjoy our purchases from our home in England and think of Marbrin. What gem of a place- two fabulous people.
Until 2025...vi see igen...we'll meet again.

An excellent start to our Route 62 drive to The Garden Route.
The farm is set in a lovely area just next to Robertson. You drive through a beaten track surrounded by vines and then olive trees. We were welcomed by the jovial owner, and had no problem in us arriving later than planned.
We tasted loads of olive oils, tapenades, delicious bread, limoncello, olives (all either made or grown by them). It was all truly excellent! The tasting fee is a mere R50, but you will probably not pay anything as you will buy a lot of goodies.
PS: Do yourself a favour and buy the coriander seed infused oil!

My reason for visit to Marbrin farm was to buy Olives and taste their oils as it was on the nr 1 'To do list when in Robertson'
It was an amazing experience! The oils are like no other I have ever tasted and yes,I have done tasting in many parts of the world. The owner and his wife are warm, very friendly and inviting people. Do not expect a white-collar and tie reception. They are down to the earth, real, genuine people true to the farm, themselves and their tasty products! Even though my 'booking in advance for tasting' was just 5 minutes prior,I was received with great enthusiasm and an eagerness to help. I thought I will go there for 2 bottles of olives and perhaps one infused olive oil...but no,I bought a box full of olives, oils, tapenades and infusions! This is a little gem! A must-do when in the area!

What a lovely experience! The product testing was fantastic but the real highlight was the couple who own and personally take you through the experience. They are knowledgeable, entertaining and so much fun! The road to the farm was partly water logged, they went out of their way to ensure that we got there safely. Their recommendations for other "non wine" activities in wine country was very much appreciated :-). Definitely recommend the experience and the products!

A must visit Olive experience on a family run farm. The visit and range of products made and that are up for tasting and buying is also very good. You can even get a cold one at the bar if you are in luck!

What an unexpected and fabulous treat this visit was. The owners, a colourful, fun, knowledgeable duo, take you through the tasting. The oils are brilliant, olives yumm and the homemade bread, simply sublime. You will not be disappointed with a visit here. We will be back with friends again. Thank you guys.

We are so pleased that we took a couple of hours out to visit Marbrin and to enjoy their olive tasting. Bryony was excellent as a host and kept us very well entertained. The range of olive oils is impressive. Whenever we go back to that area we will visit again.

One simply cannot do a trip to Robertson without a visit to Marbrin Olive Growers. Briony and Clives passion for their products is clearly evident...and their recipe suggestions are endless! Such an entertaining outing - and their olive products are superb
