We arrived at Zandvliet around 1330hrs after visiting two other wineries in the Robertson valley and from past experience leaving the best until last for this day.
Staying at Excelsior Manor guesthouse, and Zandvliet being a mere stroll away this meant we could indulge ourselves once again, our previous experience here being in 2018.
Fabulous tasting room and its worth exploring inside but we set ourselves up outside on a beautiful afternoon and received the most brilliant hospitality from a very knowledgeable member of staff. Often any great experience is enhanced by a sommelier who knows their craft but of course its the proof in the tasting of quality wines that give Zandvliet our Gold star.
The small berry, early picked Shiraz is still my favourite Shiraz from any winery, anywhere in the world and once again another bottle was purchased to take home and enjoy when the moment calls.
We also added the most delicious food platter, excellent wine tasting, another glass to wash down the meats and cheeses to be totally fulfilled once again here at Zandvliet.
Thank you for another great experience.

Part of our Gate 1 tour, we went to this beautiful wine estate. We were warmly welcomed . We received an introduction to their winery, received much information before starting the wine tasting. Each wine we tasted was paired with delicious food. The ambiance of this establishment was impressive.

This is a gem to visit! The wine tasting lounge is beautifully decorated and our hostess Marinelle was excellent! She gave us some of the history of the decor in the lounge and made this a very enjoyable visit. Highly recommended!

We had a great wine tasting and Leslie was a very knowledgeable and pleasant host. We visited on a Saturday and sat outside in the sun for the tasting. The wines were very good, especially the VLW was a pleasant surprise, but the two shirazs were also very good. Can be recommended if you are in the area.

Since opening of the 'new' wine tasting area (and especially the staff) a lot of the atmosphere and personal service has disappeared.
Wines still great!
nice feature is the basement - you should have a look!

We had an informative wine and gin tasting accompanied with a cheese and meat board which was really tasty and filling! They have a cheaper wine which is not on their wine list called "My Best Friend" which for us is a drink now every day wine.

A huge thank you to Leslie for a relaxed and informative tasting, followed by a tour of the underground cellar. Besides the fantastic wine, we enjoyed the wealth of knowledge and clear passion shared by Leslie as he took us through the tasting and tour. Highly recommended!
