About
We are a small winery that produces wines from grapes grown in and around Prince Albert. We are moving the winery to a great new spot in town, we look forward to soon show you our new jacket:)

Best tasting during our 4 week holiday.
Feb 2020
What a pleasure. The winemaker talked us through all the different aspects of making wine in the Karoo and we tasted the must as well as the full range of very good wines. We also learned about the problems and frustrations that he faced, one of which was the regular electricity outages.
If you want to speak to a passionate vintner and taste some good wines look no further than Fernskloof.

A must stop
Jul 2019
Wow what a knowledgeable wine maker, we havd a good 2 hour visit at this wine farm and this was in the tasting room only. We were told how he bottles his wine himself from sealing to labels etc.
The wine is fantastic I walked out buying 3 cases. will be back in May 2020.

Fernskloof Wines is a must-visit
Jul 2019
We almost did not visit Fernskloof Wines, as we had to detour slightly to get there. I am so pleased that we did - we were met with the utmost hospitality and taken through a thorough tasting of what Fernskloof as to offer. The wines surprised us - we loved them and bought several bottles.

Very interesting!

Diederik said he is 6th generation, but the website says he is 7th generation. Anyway, his passion shone through, and his knowledge. I would love to stay over one night in the guest house.
All in all, a very interesting experience. We toured the cellar, and tasted the range of wines. Don't think that "organic" makes such a difference

Wine tasting outside
Jul 2018 • Friends
We enjoyed the wine tasting outside. The winemaker ‘s mom did the tasting for us. When was very friendly and informative. The rose was very nice - and all the reds!

A jewel just 14km outside Prince Albert travelling towards Meiringspoort. Fernskloof accommodation and wine farm. Our hostess Amelia went out of her way to make our stay superb. From flowers to a bottle of wine not to mention the firewood and white pristine linen. Thank you we will be back.

Wonderful Angeliersbos

We found this gem 20 odd kms outside Prince Albert run like clockwork by Amelia.
Spent 2 nights in the Karoo on a farm no sound other than endless birds in the mornings and accomodation befit for a king and queen.
From fluffy white towels to superb clean linen and every possible detail to make your stay memorable Amelia was there to assist and help in any way possible.
Superb range of organic wines made and pressed by her son in a small yet fully functional cellar.

Oh and all of this for less than 50% of whats charged in P Albert town.

We will be back .....

Excellent organic wines and good walks
Sep 2017 • Couples
We just loved this place. It's a beautiful farm house with great grounds. It feels very Karoo and authentic. We were there to buy wine, but there are beautiful walks on the farm behind the main house. When we arrived, the owner was very warm and welcoming. He took a lot of time to explain all about the wines and the process of making it. He even opened two bottles for us to try. We walked out buying some bottles of superb organic red wine - Merlot and also Pinotage/Shiraz.
