Was a bit sceptical after booking the 2 day Garden Route tour as to whether it would be good value for money. I needn’t have worried - it was fabulous. Mwande, our driver kept us all entertained on the outward journey and was the ultimate tour guide - his knowledge of South Africa, from its geography to social-economic and political history is phenomenal. It’s a long journey from Cape Town to the lodge but that doesn’t matter when you’ve got a Mwande on board! We made a breakfast stop before going to see the penguin colony (and more than we bargained for with loads of Baboons causing a road-block! LOL. Onward to Hermanus which was beautiful. It was a tad too late in the season to see any whales but lovely to relax overlooking the ocean whilst having brunch. We arrived at the lodge with a couple of hours to spare for lazing round the pool. The lodge is fabulous - the rooms are huge and very clean. Our sunset safari with Martel was fantastic- another guide who was so passionate about her job and this beautiful country. We stopped for a cheeky drink and snacks overlooking the reserve, having seen loads of beautiful animals. Back at the lodge, the evening meal was worthy of a top notch restaurant- 3 wonderful courses in beautiful surroundings. After a good night’s sleep, we were up and off, after a quick cuppa, to try and find the rest of the animals and Martel didn’t disappoint- she made sure we saw them all - even the giraffes which is nigh on impossible on a 2 day safari, due to their location. Back at the lodge, and a phenomenal breakfast before heading back. This time, Chris was our guide and he was just as lovely and enthusiastic as Mwande, so we felt very lucky. We stopped at SA’s southern most point and saw where the oceans meet before continuing back to Cape Town. A comfort stop for beers and a stop at a lovely farm stall for a bite to eat before arriving back at our hotel. All in all, an amazing 2 days and an experience worthy of anyone’s money. It’s a must-do in my opinion. Thanks to all involved

Action Packed, Informative and Memorable Trip :)

This trip thoroughly exceeded already high expectations on so many levels.

Firstly the amount we were able to see and do over 4 days, caves, safari, kayak, paragliding, beaches, penguins, whales to name but a few of the activities.

Fantastic accomodation throughout.

Its quite a packed schedule so suits someone who likes being on the road, not too much chill time.

However, the absoloute highlight/differentiation point of this trip was our guide Mawinde.

A terrific person, extremely knowledgaable and shared some amazing insights on the history of the Cape and South Africa generally. Having done multiple tours around the world and in Africa specifically, Mawinde is by far the best guide I have ever had the pleasure to work with.

Highly Recommend this trip and to request Mawinde!! He made an already excellent trip, unbelievable.

It's my first trip to South Africa and glad to be on this tour led by Mawande who gave us a visual narrative of the history and culture of the country. He made the effort to get to know us individually and curated the route to make the experience exceptional and personal for us.

The entire itinerary was well-organized with activities across eastern and western Cape Town. It was extremely memorable and delightful where we get to experience activities on land, air and sea. A professional and knowledgeable guide who goes above and beyond his call of duty to give us a glimpse of the vastness and richness of South Africa, and what it has to offer. Thanks Mawande for facilitating the entire engagement. It was made even more meaningful with beautiful memories and relationships forged!

Best tour

Mawande has been a wonderful guide who is looking after us and ensure we had the best experience of the tour. He is so friendly from the first minute we saw him and has wide knowledge about Africa to been keeping us posted where we are and brief history on each small town that we passby. The tour is very structured and timing was very well managed by him too. Accommodation and food are very good! He ensures we see as much as we can yet not feeling being rushed. Double thumb up for him! Highly recommended for the tour.

Garden Route 4 day tour with the best guide!

Our guide Mawande was exceptional in every way. He took very good care of us throughout the trip and made sure we were well looked after. Mawande went over above his job to ensure we had a good time and were comfortable throughout the 4 day tour.

He took the trouble to explain to us in detail the history of South Africa and because of him the trip became very meaningful and memorable.

The accommodation and food were amazing throughout the 4 day tour. The car was cleaned and ready for us everyday.

Most of all it was Mawande’s hospitality, his knowledge, positive attitude, empathy and warmth that made this trip one of the best.

I cannot recommend Mawande highly enough.

Had the greatest time exploring South Africa

Me and my partner had the greatest time exploring the Garden route together with our guide Dylan. If you want to make the most out of your time and really want to be able to say "I saw South-Africa", book the 5 day Garden route tour. Most importantly, our guide Dylan gave us the best time. A guide can make or break your experience and he definitely made ours an unforgettably good one!

We did the 3 days Safari Exoerience with Mawande. It was an exzellente and interesting tour guided by a very experienced and knowledgable Tour guide. We least a lot about the country and culture and were in exiting Szenerien. Mawande is a very good guide,very friendly and takes cares of all issues. He was very ineractive and a very good and safe diver. We can strongly recommend this Tour.

An excellent and friendly tour

An excellent and friendy tour. Mawande’s commentaries and knowledge of the history of South Africa and the Western Cape was excellent and made the Garden Route come alive. The trip was well structured with flexibility to accommodate any requests from our group. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Amazing experience

It was an amazing experience and our highlight during the trip to South Africa. Mawande always made sure we are safe and drove many hours each day so we can make best of the time to explore Garden Route area.
Also we learnt a lot about the African culture, local people’s life and struggle, history and economy etc by hearing stories from Mawande when we pass each places in the journey.
Our favourite part is the Garden Route Game Lodge and the two Safari game drive, it was a truly luxury experience and we saw big five animals apart from leopard.
The journey is full of surprises with many stops for view points, occasionally appearance of Monkeys and baboon. The dinners/breakfast are great and the accommodation are comfortable too. I will recommend this tour especially if you only have a few days to explore the Garden Route area.
