The trip is not too expensive and it is delightful to see so many seals both on the rocks and in the water around the boat. Also of interest are the seals which have been trained on the quayside where the boat is moored.

I visited on a weekday during off season so there was no hustle and bustle on the boat. Everyone got their place to watch the seals. The seals are interesting and fun to look at. Overall it's a pleasant experience.

This charter boat in Hout Bay gets you very close to the seals and has even a bar on board. The duration of the tour is 40 min.
