This is probably our favourite market!Has a really nice vibe and lots of different food and drink choices to choose from. As you enter there are stalls which sell local goods and then further inside the "food and drinks" section. There are a few tables where you can sit and eat what you have bought, however, the market gets busy... More

A lot of traders, good products, a lot a creativity to find, great for souvenirs, goof food and drinks...but way too crowded, "relaxed browsing around" looks different

Busy! The first word that comes to mind when I think of my multiple trips to Bay Harbour Market. The Market is vibrant and busy and 110% full of life! It has everything from food to music, to jewelry, to clothes. You name it. It's there. If you are in the area you have to go and visit it, there's... More

Packed, vibrant, off the wall in places, great food stalls, some genuine craft stalls, some true artisan makers, some tat. The parking attendants brilliant just keep driving till you can go no further, they got us parked right outside at peak time on Sunday. Worth the tip you give them. Thank you jewellry makers Paul and Wanda for another stunning... More

The market is only open on Fridays from late afternoon through to the evening and on Saturdays just during the day so it does get rather crowded and when you visit it's like the whole of Cape Town and the surrounding areas have turned up but it is a great vibe and the atmosphere is good. Lots of different stalls... More

What an amazing time my wife and I had on the Friday. The only problem I had was, I saw something at each pop up restaurant that I wanted. When finally decided on something, you just find a seat and end up talking to the others sat on the table. The live music was excellent.

My brother-in-law works in Hout Bay but even he was unaware of this small market by the harbour. Lots of delicious local food and a wide range of locally crafted items. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

We went to Bay Harbour Market as we were told it was much less crowded and touristy than other markets in Cape Town. We were not disappointed. Great food, especially the Gemsbok burger and Gemsbok omelette, and lots of interesting shopping for lovely, handcrafted jewelry.
