We had the most incredible afternoon riding beautiful Arabian horses through stunning scenery with Jonathan. The two stops to taste the wine and give the horses a breather were really nice. Would highly recommend

My fiance and I recently went on a 4 hour horseback riding tour of Franschhoek with Paradise Stables. Our guide was amazing! He let us ride at our own pace, took us to a couple of amazing wineries for a wine tasting, and provided great information and history throughout the tour. We certainly had a wonderful experience and I'm recommending everyone who goes to Franschhoek to stop by for one of their amazing horseback riding tours!

Horseriding is the perfect activity. Social distancing is not an issue and you will get some fresh air and enjoy a morning out in nature. Booking was easy and my guide was super friendly. I had a lovely morning. The horses are well trained and responsive. Don’t hesitate. Support the tourism industry and rejuvinate your soul at the same time. The farm is close to town and you can have lunch after you go riding.

What a lovely tranquil place to spend a breakaway , far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. You don't have to be a horse person to enjoy the farm. The quaint cottage is well supplied with wood for an indoor or outdoor fire. One is welcomed to the cottage with a couple of chocolates and some in season fruit. The television reception is not good at all but with a good book who needs it. Your sleep is peaceful without the urban sounds. Will definitely be returning to the farm.

We did a wine tasting horse riding tour on Saturday and enjoyed it so much we returned for a second visit four days later. The horses are well looked after and well behaved, responsive to experienced riders but also good for novices to ride. Yolanda was a perfect guide, relaxed and chatty. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Hope to return again

Best R400 spent for a sunset horseback riding experience through a mountain and vineyards! Even though we have already seen the scenery on a mountain bike the day before, it was such a different experience and perspective on the horse! The sunset was beautiful and the horses were very well behaved. It was my partner's first time on a horse and we didn't find any issues. I was under the impression that there was also wine involved, but there was none, which wasn't really a problem for our party. Other than that, everything else exceeded my expectations!

Lovely afternoon - really pleasant way to visit wineries and good fun. Suitable for inexperienced riders and those with more horsemanship. Horses very docile.

This was not just any old horseback riding experience....this was horseback riding at sunset with a breathtaking backdrop of mountains, landscape and vineyards. It was absolutely unreal! The horses were mild mannered, gentle and patient with our novice riders. The guide was excellent! A must do if you are visiting Franschhoek, South Africa. It gives a whole new meaning to Riding into the sunset.

I was shocked that some people wrote critical reviews. It made me, (I’m only a customer and have no tie to paradise stables) quite cross that miserable people can submit misleading words that bear no resemblance to the truth!

Let me tell you what we found;

An utterly idyllic sunny setting, gorgeous friendly, healthy and easy to ride ponies and an expert lead rider Yolanda.

Yolanda’s extensive experience meant she could see immediately how to help and assist the less experienced rider! Those with the skill and ability can trot for parts of the tour, while walking the whole route is possible for “first time “ riders.

The two wine tasting events (Rickety Bridge and Mont Rochelle ) were “semi-formal” with a fascinating high quality introduction to the fabulous wines. The staff at these wine farms were kind and engaging.

The time allocated to wine tasting and riding was a “good balance”, our riding route took in various climbs and descents. We didn’t stop smiling and taking photos the whole way round.

If you are curious about booking this wine tasting/riding session, I’d strongly recommend that you try it. Sterna, her husband and their team (Yolanda and others) are kind with unambiguous emails that made setting up our visit a complete joy.

We have enjoyed almost 20 days in South Africa on this trip, expensive private game reserves, game drives and breathtaking fine dining experiences. This ride was probably our favourite day of the trip.

We stayed at Paradise cottage and we really enjoyed it.
The cottage is located in a perfect spot with amazing views on the mountains. There is a dam and a swimming pool where you can cool down in hot sunny days.
The room was clean and equipped with the essentials, and the owner even left some fruits and chocolate for us.
We will definitely come back !
