We had lunch at this wine estate and thoroughly loved it. Patrons sit under a large covered patio looking out over the mountains and well maintained garden. We had mussels for lunch. The Best I ever had! The wine train is stopping there as well.

We drove, it’s about an hour in a car but I think there is transport to Franschhoek from Cape Town itself.
