Top all-round quality
Feb 2021
It was our first visit to Leopard's Leap, without having had or seen any recommendations. On entering the restaurant we were struck by the exceptional neatness and cleanliness, and the aura of quiet efficiency. The food was of the very best, and the servings generous. The service was good, adequately attentive, and we appreciated the fact that our waitress didn't fuss around us all the time and keep asking if everything was OK. The toilets were exceptionally clean and tidy. It was a wonderful experience, and we left well satisfied.

Still our favourite Restaurant in Franschhoek
Dec 2020
In the last years we came frequently to enjoy the nice buffet. This year in December they serve the same tasty dishes at your table. No difference to the buffet. Prices are
reasonable, wine good as always. Employees very friendly. Next week we will visit again.

Fun winery with good food and a fynbos garden.
Oct 2020
A fun winery with a delicious Sunday lunch, including free-range chicken which so!
We enjoyed the light and reasonably priced wine.
There's good space for children to play outside.

And a fynbos garden, my best. This could be added to.

Well done Leopard's Leap.

Relaxed, airy venue and correspondingly great food and wine
Sep 2020
We came here for a Saturday lunch and had no problem getting a table in this light airy restaurant. This is a modern airy building with great views plus an outside space for stretching one's legs. While the menu is not a la carte (there are 4 or 5 set dishes), the range of tastes catered for and presentation were splendid. Food is cooked to the highest standards and so nicely arranged. The local wines are nicely matched and reasonably priced. Service was attentive and professional and friendly. We did not do wine tasting but this is a great place indulge ones passion for this, if interested.

Great wine
Mar 2020
We were with a tour group of 16, we had a private tasting room with a very nice charcuterie board. While I'm not usually a Chenin Blanc fan, the 2017 Culinaria was the best Chenin Blanc I've ever had. It was oak-aged a similar to a Chardonnay, but still had the crisp fruit flavors. They also had several good red wines, to include a Culinaria Pinot Noir and Grand Vin.

Leopold’s Leap South African Table ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Feb 2020 • Couples
My husband and I spent Valentine’s Day at Leopards Leap and had THE BEST lunch at the South African Table. We were the only locals present aside from the incredible Chef Pieter de Jager. The food was unbelievably good. I was so disappointed that I couldn’t finish the delectable lamb but I needed the little space I had left to savor the rooibos panacotta. The chef’s culinary skill was matched by his personality as he entertained and engaged with all guests at his table. An experience both my husband and I would definitely want to enjoy again in the near future. Couldn’t give this a higher recommendation. A definite highlight of our weekend away in Franschhoek. Must note, the fish dish was both mine and my husband’s favorite of the line up.

Great Tasting Session and Fabulous Lunch
Dec 2019
We were taken here on a private tour from our hotel and was surprised to find it very quiet, we were later told that weekends are really busy and the midweek is a good time to visit. We had a really good tasting session with a most pleasant and knowledgeable young man, (sorry I've forgotten your name). Enjoyed the wines and purchased a few bottles to take home. We returned the following day for a prebooked lunch on our day out on the wine tram. Wow - what a fabulous lunch, well worth booking.

Great all round
Feb 2020
Leopards Leap have a large modern tasting room where you sit round the bar to do your tasting. The staff are very knowledgeable and the wines very good. We had a cheese and charcuterie platter which was also very good.
