Discover the Vineyards of Franschhoek. The Franschhoek Wine Tram hop-on hop-off tour is one of the best ways to discover the true essence of the Franschhoek Valley - picturesque vineyards, breath-taking scenery, warm hospitality, world-class cuisine, fine wines and a 300-year history. Tour Experience: Passengers aboard the hop-on hop-off tour will experience a unique and leisurely introduction to the Franschhoek Valley as they journey through rolling vineyards in an open-side tram and open-air tram-bus stopping at some of South Africa's oldest and most distinguished wine estates. A combination of tram and tram-bus follows a loop of stops allowing guests to hop off at each stop and experience the activities on offer, such as wine tasting, a cellar tour, lunch or simply a stroll through the vineyards. When ready guests simply hop on to continue the tour. The tour takes guests into the heart of the Franschhoek Valley, with a guided commentary and unparalleled views of the valley and vineyards. great experience. drank our way around the wine estates and met some lovely people along the way! Wine tastings are really cheap and the tram is a lovely way to see the countryside. we choose the Red tram...highly recommended .

Great day had. Slightly disappointed about the lack of tram, i was expecting to be on the tram most of the day, and it is only two stops.

We just returned from an enjoyable visit and stay at enchanting Franschhoek in the Western Cape Province. Meaning "The French Corner" in Dutch, Franschhoek is known for it’s vineyards and French heritage. This quaint small town is located about an hour’s drive from Cape Town...More

A fantastic day out! The weather wasn’t very good for the start of our day, with heavy wine. The good thing is that weather doesn’t impact this trip. We decided on the green line as it starts with the tram and it includes Richard Branson’s...More

My wife and I did the curated tour which was very good. Only downside is that we spent a little too long in the first winery and only got to see three in total. However we had an amazing meal and they don’t hold back...More

We chose the Red Line and thought the wineries we visited were great - for the tastings, and for their views of the valley. We also enjoyed meeting people on the tram and bumping into them at different stops on the way round. My only...More

We took the red line and had a wonderful time. Eikhoff was the first stop, wonderfully friendly and informative host. Chamonix was horrible, unfriendly and rushed, virtually no information and the staff complained about being short staffed. The wine was virtually “thrown” into the glasses...More

A lovely day out and great opportunity to see different vineyards and try their wines. The Curated Tour includes a guide who offered interesting information about the vineyards and their wines.

Booked the curated tour... amazing day out. Great guides... great food and the wine tasting was great value for money. Franschoek is a pretty town, the wooden double decker tram a super feature and added a quirky twist to a wine tour. 10/10
