The setting is dramatic and the monument is there. What else can you say. Possibly of more interest to people of Huguenot descent.

As children we visited Franschhoek often and always stopped at the Lady. I remember it had no gates and the entrances from the Road were open - both left and right and no charge. It had this long path down which to walk towards the...More

It’s a monument to the Huguenots, who were badly mistreated by the Dutch. Best seen as part of a visit to the museum.

The monument itself is not much to see. However the setting in the surrounding landscape is beautiful. The history of the French Huguenots and the wine making is also interesting.

We took a stall to this memorial monument during the morning before it was to hot, and it was really intresting to read about the history. It is also very beautiful and the surroundings are amazing. Worth a visit to be familiar with the history.

There isn't much to the Huguenot Memorial Monument. It's an impressive monument given the mountainous backdrop. A 5 minute visit will do.

This Monument records the arrival of the French Huguenots. There is a charge to visit this Monument. There is not much to see so I think the charge is unnecessary.

I couldn't find anything of particular interest here. It's the type of place you visit if you have time to kill.

The main street of Franschoek deserves at least one hour stroll. What has attracted my attention during the last visit were the unusual sculptures
