- Jacques N2 contributionsBad experience at Paserene Wine EstateWhat a bad experience at Paserene. We were a group of 12 on the Franschhoek Wine tram, after 35 minutes we received a 2019 old Sauvignon Blanc and no wine glasses. Unfortunately we were forced to call our transport for the next Wine estate.Visited February 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 4 February 2023
- keithamaraSt Ives, United Kingdom489 contributionsDisappointing return visitWe were quite disappointed with Pasarene this time. It seems to have got quite expensive and commercialised. It probably didn't help that a wine tram arrived while we were there depositing a couple of dozen people, or that they had loadshedding and their generator had broken down. Added to this that they also lost all their water! We weren't really impressed.Visited February 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 22 February 2023
- CliffiedejagerCeres, South Africa7 contributionsPaserene tastingVery modern tasting room. Unfortunately, unavailability of certain cocktail ingredients, dirty wine glases and the smell of egg in wine glases is a total let off for me. Getting only a few drops per tasting also, not worth a visit again for us.Visited August 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 12 August 2023
- LeJean M6 contributionsWould not visit againWe’ve visited a few farms in the Franschhoek area and this was so disappointing. Waited a good 15 min before the tasting began. The lady who assisted us really only gave the basic info on the wines, nothing special. The glasses smelled funny and made the tasting experience unpleasant. Would not recommend this and I will definitely not visit again. Much better farms to choose from.Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 12 August 2023

We had such a lovely time here. The wines were spectacular, but Yolanda stole show! She was so knowledgeable and effervescent we’ll come back just for her company. Not to mention the ‘Marathon’. Must have, even if you can’t taste it on site. Thanks Yolanda, you’re the absolute BEST!

A quieter experience. Attractive ‘deck’ overlooking water ; lots of glass and metal. Relaxed and friendly Sommelier.

Sixth and last stop on the day but we paced ourselves well, so quite sober and under control . Staff did their best but a long day for them too. Highlights were the high end wines, marathon and union were good. We took a lot of pictures at a great spot.

We had a winetasting and plate of cheese and charcurterie and more for two people.
The wines, we tasted, are of real good quality.
Service was attentive. The views are amazing.

Our favourite stop on the wine tram by far! Beautiful setting with an exceptional selection of wines but the stand-out feature was the incredibly warm welcome and knowledge of our host. Reuben made our experience super special and it was clear wine is his passion rather than just his work - I’m sure he’ll go far in the wine industry!

Ruben was such an ambassador for paserene - he was so informative about all the wines and also so much fun. Also this is the best wine farm - amazing views and amazing wine! Thank you so much.
