Thoroughly enjoyable. The helicopter seats 5 passengers excluding the pilot. There are various packages to chose from. We went on an hour flight with a landing on the mountain for some juice. For a big group or family it can be expensive. It was the best way to enjoy the mountain, we saw at least 5 waterfalls with spectacular views of the berg and the resorts around the berg. The pilot was well versed on The berg and pointed out key areas. Amazing flight.

Today I got to fly with Westline over Cathedral Peak. The pilot was so attentive to our individual needs and instilled such confidence. His professional manner was a joy to experience. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the Berg. We were able to get the most magical photographs without the 11 hour hike (if done on foot :) ) Do yourself the favor and take this flight amongst the beautiful Cape Vultures and majestic waterfalls.

One of the best experiences of my life! Rhenear, our pilot, was fantastic, he reassured us of our safety throughout the flight, explaining the "turbulence" (which there was almost non of) as the helicopter simply wagging its tail because its happy! :) He told us about every mountain and waterfall we saw, as well as which wildlife live in the mountains - one of which we saw, a silver back jackal! My now fiancé asked me to marry him on the mountain where we stopped, Rhenear was incredibly kind and accommodating, taking sneaky photos and popping some champagne for us too. The views are SPECTACULAR! It is like a window into God's home. I will do this trip again and again over the years :)

Champagne flight which was well worth every Rand. Brett is a brilliant pilot and really knows the mountains inside out and back again.

We took a small helicopter flight from Cathedral Peaks Hotel for 60 minutes along the Drakensberg region viewing the peaks, valleys, Tugela falls and the amphitheatre. We overflew an area of Lesotho before landing briefly on a pinnacle for more photo opportunities. The pilot inspired confidence, pointed out all the amazing rock formations, spotted huge vultures, and kept us fully informed all the way. The early morning light was ideal for photos and videos - do not forget your camera!
