We took a very slow meander through the park and it seemed to be packed with wildlife! Elephants galore, many with tiny young at the moment, giraffes, lions, buffalo, zebra and antelope...it really was a sightseeing feast. Very easy to navigate around, fantastic scenic views too.

Well organized park with easy to achieve sightings and a good underground hide. Each year that I visit there are noticeable improvements. Don't miss the underground hides and obey the silence rule.

Nice cabins. A lot of animals - we saw lions, rhinos and a large herd of elephants next to a waterhole which was an amazing sight. Ado has big expansion plans which will make it a serious competitor to Kruger. Also, it is close to the 'garden-route'. So if you are short of time, you can cover Ado, Garden route... More

You may be tempted to drive around the park on your own, but unless you are lucky, you won't see most of the animals that are there to see. It's a big park and the roads are rough, and the wildlife is spread out and moves from place to place. You can hire a private guide or go with one... More

Really great day out however you need a bit of luck in order to see all animals that live at the Addo. Roads are maintained exceptionally, you can drive any car across the park. It is so absorbing when trying to spot any animal that you don't even notice how fast time is flying. We've managed to see some animals... More

My wife and I have visited most of the SANParks and keep coming back to Addo. We easily agree that it tops all the others - except for Kruger (but that's easily understandable).

We stayed at the Dungbeetle lodge in Colchester which was fantastic! It was 10mins to the Southern gate of Addo park. The ladies at Dungbeetle lodge told us to take a picture of the map at the gate with the animal sightings and it was spot on. Within 5 minutes we saw wildlife. Lion 🦁 kill - 1 male /... More

This park made me feel proud to be South African. Well maintained and friendly staff! We stayed for two nights, one in Spekboom tented camp and one at the main camp. The highlight of the visit was of course the elephants! I have visited many parks in my life but the close encounters with these creatures here in the wild... More

Easy to navigate park with great facilities. Easy to get to a major look out and see where the action is, we were lucky enough to see most things on the list in a morning

We went to Addo elephant park today as day visitors. It took sometime to purchase tickets to the park as there is some paperwork to complete. Locals get in for just under R100 for international visitors it's just shy of R300... which I think is reasonable. When in the park there is so much to see, from lions, zebra, kudu... More
