This was simply a superb and compact national park. Plenty of animals. We saw elephant herds on all 3 days of drives to include lots of baby elephants. The park supports about 15 lions and we watched about 5 of them work on eating a...More

Game drives here were good where you could find open country away from the high thick growth. We saw lots of elephant and three lions.

Stayed 4 nights in Addo. It was fantastic as we manage to see so many of the animals in the park. Had the experience of watching a herd of buffalo at the waterhole and the buffalo bull in the middle of the waterhole having a...More

Was working in Port Elizabeth and decided to take a break to visit one of my favorite spots - the Addo Elephant Park. As usual the elephants did not disappoint and we got some amazing photos of them playing in the little bit of water...More

We stayed in the main camp and did the sun-downer and the first tour in the morning and it was well worth it. We saw lots of elephants, also quite a few babies, we saw lions, zebras, cheetahs, turtles and so much more. One thing...More

Super fun for a family outing! We played Spot the animals game on the brochure and the kids had so much fun! :-) We saw so many animals, but off course we were there to see the elephants, what a glorious sight...so many herds flocked...More

It is no doubt this national park is called Addo elephant park, we saw so many elephants during our one nights over stay here. We didn't see any other big five other than buffalo. The forage is quite high here, so driving in a small...More

So great to be able to drive and see all the animals. But the elephants were amazing! We would just be driving around a curve in the road and there would be 3 or 4 elephants right in front of us...or along the side of...More

July was busier than I expected, but it didn't detract from the game viewing. My overseas visitor and I entered from the Colchester side at about 10.30 on our way to get a game drive at 12.00. We saw warthog, zebra, buffalo and red hartebees...More

The knysna Elephant park is really for kids where you can get up close to the elephants and feed them, Addo is huge and has a far greater range of animals but they are wild so you can't get near them like you can at Knysna.

4 is fine. I went with my 2 year old. You are in your car most of the time, unless you are at a picnic spot. They do not allow kids under 12 on the game drives.
