Beautiful birds and snakes
Dec 2019
A really lovely spot to visit, especially with animal-mad kids. As it does wild animal rehabilitation, many of the animals have a back-story which makes it more interesting. The walk-in aviary is amazing, built around a beautiful tree and a platform for viewing the colourful inhabitants. The restaurant area is very neat and comfortable, and the menu is good. The service is friendly. It is a perfect place to visit on your way in or out of Addo Elephant Park. Highly recommended.

A well run centre. Great animals and birds
Nov 2017 • Couples
Well run and interesting. The birds are fantastic. They also have cats and snakes. The man who feeds the birds is so friendly and helpful. A great asset to the centre.

A great soot to kill a few hours. Animals were ok but the main attraction was the restaurant and outdoor sitting areas

Very interesting
May 2016 • Family
A lot to see and a lot to learn. Different skeletons and a huge variety of wildlife on display and a lot of educational information. We didn't have much time so we went through the place quickly and took a lot of photos

National African Park ADDO
Dec 2014 • Friends
My hut was in the Addo Park. It was very elegantly furnished with very comfortable bed. Outside was the balcony overlooking bush of the National Park. At night you could hear the voices of animals. In the morning we started our safari adventure. After just 20 minutes we find yourself in a group of maybe 20-25 elephants. It was like "National Geographic" huge african mammals with babies in between their legs. The Park was beautiful with many more animals. If there was no limit I can keep describing it for the next few hours.

Sanctuary being converted into a zoo
May 2015 • Friends
Popped into the Wildlife Sanctuary in Addo. Am very disappointed to discover the owner is converting this sanctuary into a zoo. No longer will animals be rehabilitated at this facility. Was very disconcerting to see three beautiful macaws being kept in a small parrot-size cage.
