Even with the Nor'Easter wind blasts the sounds of spring peepers is incredible! Late February though may be more of a primer for global warming than cause to celebrate early spring.

A not very tall mountain but excellent for hiking with friends and family. Rugged trails, so wear proper shoes. Gets cold in the fall, so wear proper clothes.

It’s a very nice hike that is very family friendly. One way has very minimal incline while some other paths have a bit more incline but not much. There are some interesting places to stop with nice views. I’ve brought friends here various times and...More

Some parts are quite uphill, but not too hard. Very woodsy. Fun huge rock area on which to picnic. Ok to bring your dog if he/she likes hiking.

The best part of this park is the variety of trails for all levels. The trails are well maintained, with a various sites and sounds to enjoy. Bring your camera, too.

This is probably the best hiking location you'll find in Somerset County. There's an ample amount of different trails and paths, definitely enough to keep you busy for a day, or even a week. Would recommend to anyone: families, teens, elders!
