In early spring I was lucky enough to be taken on a tour of the Androscoggin with owner and operator of North Country Kayak, Elijah Sobel. There can be many intimidating steps to kayaking, or even exploring a new place. However, for every step of the trip, Elijah provided encouragement, clear directions and helpful tips. By the end of the day, with Elijah's well placed and articulated tips and pointers, I felt like a much more proficient boater. North Country Kayak provides a place where you can sample adventure, or just a day out on the water without feeling unsafe, overwhelmed or out of your league. When I climbed out of the boat I felt a tremendous sense of accomplishment. Most importantly, I had fun! If you're looking for a curated river experience with a highly experienced guide, North Country Kayak is for you!

What an awesome day spent on the river with my friends and Eli as our guide. We came up to the White Mountains for the weekend and were looking for things to do outside. We wanted to get out and relax on the water. Eli was a superb guide and the process was easy and efficient. We always felt safe and well taken care of. Eli is a great story teller and had us laughing the whole way down the river. Bonus was when he spotted a Bald Eagle moments before we landed, great way to end the day! I highly recommend this service and plan to book another tour this coming summer.

Was able to get out on the water with a small group of friends and Eli as our guide for my first trip to Long Pond. Such a great getaway spot to relax and enjoy good company. Fun afternoon with all of the gear provided which was a big help for planning a northern NH trip. Definitely a perfect trip to bring a camera and your binoculars along. We went for sunset which was awesome, because my friends and I were able to squeeze in a hike before we met our guide at the put-in. Would love to see this place again on an early morning. Will be back for more in the spring!

We did the Connecticut River tour. The fall foliage was stunning. Highly recommended as an alternative to the crowded highway pull out or the bumper to bumper traffic on the Kangamangus. Eli is an outstanding guide. We felt very safe and well equipped for our paddling trip. We each got our own small dry bag for storing extra dry layers. He shared lots of local knowledge of both the waterways and North Country region. Would come again!
