The Nevada Museum of Art is a good find for only 10 USD admission. Great architecture, interesting exhibits and one of the things I love most about visiting a city’s art museum, the gift shop. A bonus is the beautiful view on the sky view...More
I went to this museum not expecting much. I mean, who thinks of Reno as an arts capital? Was I wrong! First, Reno's art scene is extensive considering the population. The Nevada Art Museum, while small compared to big cities like San Francisco, was nonetheless...More

Motel 6 on the corner of Plumb and Virginia is a tightly run, clean motel, who has the best Chinese food in town within 20 feet of their door. The rapid transit bus, takes maybe 5 minutes to get back and forth to the corner of Liberty and Virginia Street. The museum is about a block west of that corner. Lived here all my life, so that's the easiest route. For a more immersive hotel experience, I'd recommend the Peppermill, which is on the same bus line.
