Finding $5 blackjack tables on the Vegas strip is becoming increasingly difficult but Excalibur has plenty particularly during the afternoon. We also loved the fact that it was a busy casino during the day so it had a lot of atmosphere to it. The dealers also had some real personality (as did the pit bosses) something that was really lacking the other casinos we visited. My only complaint is that the gaming area was just a little too smoky for my liking.

We had a room reserved for a volleyball tournament and my daughter tested positive for Covid 48 hours before our check in time. I called and was on hold for almost 2 hours and finally talked to a rep who said there was nothing she could do because it was not 72 hours in advance. I explained that my daughter has covid and they did not care. They still charged me for the room. HORRIBLE customer service. There are many other choices of hotels to choose from. Her entire team had to back out of the tournament due to a few positive results and the hotel still charged all of the parents. That is a total of about 15 rooms. The 72 hour policy is fine normally but when I can send them a positive covid test, and they still say "it doesn't matter, if you don't check in you are still being charged", is crazy!

I've been to Excalibur Casino so many times and had a normal experience. So for that reason I cannot rate it a 1. This recent visit prompts me to offer this "beware" to slot players. Not that the machines aren't risky enough, but slot service is now proven to be an additional risk at Excalibur: I cashed out $80 (of what was a $100 bill) on a Tarzan machine at Excalibur about 10:30 pm on December 2. It printed blank and left the message "out of paper" my name and $80 on the machine's screen. I waited and when no one showed I pressed the service button on all the other Tarzan machines until a slot attendant showed up (about 20 minutes wait). She (first turned off the service buttons on all other machines) then without any recognition (I think she was pissed I'd pressed all the other machine's buttons to get someone there) sat down, replaced the paper and left. The message (that showed my name etc) on the machine's screen was gone. I expected the machine to do something... like print the $80 voucher I was owed... it did not. I then ran after that slot attendant exclaiming that I never got printed my $80 voucher. She accused me of falsifying this claim. I showed her the blank voucher and she said she'd "left that there." After making my case a couple times she, with her "boss" on the phone said "my original voucher won't work any longer" and they'd print me a damage-voucher. She then left me without saying a word. I continued to wait. She returned 15 minutes later with $80 cash. All in all it took 45 minutes of this to get my $80 back. I left Excalibur that moment and can't think I'll ever have it in me to go back. There are plenty of other places to go. Who needs that?

My husband and I truly enjoy staying and gaming at the Excalibur. Rooms are kept clean and the beds are comfortable. We go for one purpose--to play the tables and play the slots. Their table game staff is the best we have ever encountered. We are always warmly and graciously welcomed; they make gaming an enjoyable experience. We generally travel from San Antonio TX two to three times a year; with the exception of 2020 for obvious reasons. As soon as we received our Covid vaccinations in Jan we were there in Feb and then again just last week (8-12 May 2021) . We especially like to acknowledge the table game folks that made our last visit one of the best. Hats off to Kumiko Westerlund, Myriam Zavala, Ed Dewees, Andy Devito, Daniel (pit boss), Susan Wang, Mulu Hale, Tame W. and Ed A. and others but can't recall their names. They are the reason why we keep coming back. We're happy to hear that they will be at 100 percent capacity on 1 Jun, and we look forward to another great time possibly in the fall.

Playing Blackjack in casino with Bradley Smith, Dealer at table games. He was friendly and very patient with beginning players. He offered help but never suggested a play of action. He was the best dealer I have come across in 70 years of playing a various casinos or groups. Truly a Dealer Gem.

Rarely get down to this area of the strip, but on this occasion stopped in at Excalibur to play craps. Just wanted to say that the crew and pit boss at my table were exceptional and ran one of the best games I ever played. Despite some new players being fairly disruptive and slowing the game down, the stick men (and woman) handled the situation in a most professional and courteous manner. A warm thank you to Kenneth Holman, Mark Gorman, Maria White, and the pit boss Shaun Crawley for a job well done. I will be back.

We booked a suite with a jacuzzi tub for our honeymoon night.. we were disappointed needless to say the room was not clean neither were carpets throughly vacuumed. Finger prints on furniture, frig had crumbs, and room had a stale musty odor The jacuzzi tub had hair .We were tired from a long wedding day and had already unpacked before noticing the uncleanliness of our suite. We did complain and offered a different room which we passed on as we would had already unpacked. We didn't use the jacuzzi after seeing hair in it . Didn't enjoy a romantic planned evening. We felt some sort of coupon for a free dinner or something should have been offered besides having to pack everything up and move to another room which ridiculous after we had already unpacked and the exchange room had no jacuzzi either..

If you want a fantastic dealer, look no further. I have been on and off the strip many times playing craps. It's hard to find a good dealer that's fun and friendly and loves to have a great time, and Danny Liu at the Excalibur fits the bill. He makes you feel right at home. I love hearing his callouts on the stick. I was cracking up. This guy knows his stuff!! He's not a dealer that just dishes out chips and calls it a day. He makes it an experience that you want to come back to. Trust me. If you want to have a great time at a table, not feel stressed out, and have some fun, play on his table. I will be going back. Highly recommend. This guy knows his stuff!!

We stayed there for 7 days. On the 3rd morning the carpet in front of the closet and the bathroom was soaking wet. I called to report the problem and all they did is come and put towels on the wet carpet. The next day the room stunk from the wet carpet, and they still didn't do anything after reporting the problem. The amount of kids in the casino was unbelievable, to many kids everywhere. We went to check out and there was a charge to our room from Dick's restaurant, we told them it wasn't our charge and they wouldn't take the charge off of our bill.

Felt absolutely compelled to find a way to give credit to Bradley R. Smith, a table games dealer at Excalibur. Highlight of my trip was sitting at his $15/hand blackjack table. Not only did he take my familiarity with the game from a 7 /10 to a 9/10 with his patience and IQ, but he was hilarious. Best entertainment I had and he didn't slow the game down once. I was with my brothers at one point as well as my parents, and he had us all in tears. When I go back to Vegas I will undoubtedly be seeking him out again - and I wasn't even staying at Exalibur!
I have been to many casinos, and this was the best experience I've had. I planned on staying for 2-3 hours and ended up staying for nearly 6 - only exiting the table because it was time to eat. I turned $200 to 2.1k with his tutelage, but I'd have happily lost the $200 in exchange for the laughs.

Is there an indoor pool or are the outdoor pools open at the end of February?
Written 18 January 2019
If you are asking about the Excalibur specifically, they have an outdoor pool, most all casinos on the strip have one. Most are nice and well taken care of. As far as an indoor pool, I don't know if the Excalibur has one. The weather at the end of February in Las Vegas is still quite cool. But sometimes it can be in the 70's, I say pack your swimming trunks anyway, they don't take up much space and you might get lucky and have higher temperatures. If you are staying at the Excalibur, you are not far away from the Luxor casino, they have an awesome Titanic museum inside there. Well worth going and seeing it. Have a safe trip.

there is a game floor for the kids which we just passed thru going to the tournament of kings. there are shops & a small food court. I didn't consider the shopping to be extensive. If I could have a "redo" I would've spend a bit more $$ & stayed elsewhere! I am a smoker & it was too smokey even for me!
