Only 4 legitimate parking spaces so we went past the full lot, turned around and lucked out that people were leaving. It is a short hike with little elevation gain, so the views are great the whole way. We ate our picnic lunch in the...More

It was an easy 10-15 minutes hike from parking lot once you found it but there were no markers or trail signs, explanations etc. Its supposed to be an extinct volcano but no real information stating so along the hike. Wouldn't recommend find a different...More

Short steep hike up from the parking area (in a neighborhood "Cave Rock Trail Head" on WAZE - not Cave Rock Beach) - the last part is a scramble up the back side of the rock that is above the tunnel! There is no set...More

Because of good weather with no snow, we've decided to climb there. The reward was great as the view great was. It must be great spot for sunsets. The whole rock and short trial connecting this spot with very small parking spot is colorful and...More

We went to the nice park with scenic views of Lake Tahoe. This time we were there on Labor Day. Cave Rock is very pretty.

Beautiful views of sunset. Short hike to the rock and fairly easy climb to the top of the rock. One of the best sunset views giving a glimpse of the whole lake.

You can pay for three parks at any one of the three. This was one of them. It was nice. Right on the water. And the rock is pretty cool looking. Only takes a little amount of time to check it out.

This is by far the most impressive view of the Lake anywhere. You are up high and overlooking the Lake with nothing between you and it. This is my favorite hike to take visitors on. Every ability level of hiker can make it to the...More

Cave Rock is one of the most amazing sites along the Lake Tahoe shoreline. The best approach is driving northbound on Highway 50 from Lincoln Park (east side of Lake Tahoe). Unfortunately, you can't get right up to the rock. There's a boat launch on...More

A bunch of friends brought me up here after spending the day at the beach and in the hills. There were plenty of spots to park where the trail begins and took about 15 minutes to hike up the top. Some of our party were...More

Not a beach, hike to a vantage point overlooking the lake. For beach, try Kiva or Tahoe keys East Cove or anything on the East Shore Nevada State Park.
