Beautiful mosaic ceilings and floors, paintings and sculptures inside the 400-foot high capitol building are as impressive as its marble, bronze and gold leaf exterior and white tower topped by a bronze statue. Free guided tours are available.

Guided tours are wonderful, but not required. Check out the online information by room if tour times don’t work. Lots of art to see. Outstanding views from the 14th floor. You are allowed out on the observation deck if it’s not too windy. You can...More

Great place to visit if you are downtown, a lot of history here and well explained, they really have a nice building here and they are proud to show it off as they should be, glad we visited it

Very pretty inside, you can walk around almost everywhere. This is not a 5 star because we were not able to go all the way to the top. After asking why the elevator did not work, someone told us that sometimes because of the weather...More

The history of the Nebraska State Capitol is interesting and worth exploring. The tours are offered set days and times. I did not take the tour. Taking photos of the unique architecture was worth the visit.

Love the capitol. The history and art work are amazing. It is great if you're there during the week and can observe the Unicameral in session.

Nice old building. Very dark and depressing inside. And not really anyone to help you out. You just kinda follow signs . They do have tours on top of the hour. It's free. And has some cool art deco

Every detail is beautifully executed. Take the tour. The tour guide was very informative, which enhanced the experience. Uplifting ideas as well as aesthetically pleasing. We enjoyed having young kids as part of our tour. Fun to see them enjoy as well.

This is the most beautiful government building I have ever visited-even having visited D.C. multiple times.

They are self guided tours so you can take as little or as much time as you wish. We spent close to two hours.
