Pretty well taken care of park and trails, nice to get away when in the city. Check out the nature center and the trails back there, that's the best.

Absolutely beautiful and spacious park. This park offers hiking trails, picnic areas, playground facilities, numerous ponds and seasonal creeks. There are wonderful statues and columns in the park. In some areas of the park you can see the State Capitol Building. Very relaxing and wonderful...More

We didn't even realize there were nature centers before visiting, and it was great to see living creatures inside in the dead of winter. The boys were super fascinated (and somewhat disgusted) to see the blind owl eat his lunch. :) We had no idea...More

This was our first time going to this park and it was exciting. There are many trails available for walking/running. We saw a lot of wildlife such as squirrels, buffalo ducks and geese. There is a pond in the park the kids enjoyed as we...More

Beautiful park, so much to look at. We drove around for 30 minutes and didn't see all of it. We will be going back again and exploring the park more. Something for everyone.

Take your children (young and old) here to reconnect with nature within the city, a great picnic, and visit the Chet Ager Nature Center. Free entry and no state park pass is needed. Stroll along the small lakes, play soccer, hike the mild trails, and...More

We are out-of-towners so we had to search for anther entrance to the grounds once we were detoured by the construction. Awesome, giant park. We went to hike, and we found most of the trail shady.

I enjoy walking the trails and picnicking in Pioneer's Park. There's a Nature Center and wildlife sanctuary. Great for kids and adults a like.

No, I do not believe so. We used one a few weeks ago and there was no way to sign up. Just get there early and you'll be ok.

Yes, the park is free - and I am assuming pets are welcome since I did since one couple with a dog on a leash, but I do not know for sure if that is allowed.
