Our group had a big picnic and had reserved shelter #6. It was right next to the bathrooms and the ball field. Very nice facility.

I love walking at Macken Park. It is a nice big area and I always feel safe. The covered shelters are an ideal place to have a family picnic or birthday party.

There are several parts to the park. There's a play area for kids, a tennis court, I baseball diamond, and a nature park with a trail wrapping all the way around the park. Good for jogging. There is also a stage area for large party's.

This park has a lot of shelters and our group of 80 had reserved one near the ball field and restrooms. Overall everything was clean and well taken care of. We had plenty of benches/tables and except for the heat it was a great afternoon.
