This is the smaller tea factory and plantation on the island and it also offers a tour. Unfortunately the English tour has already started when we got there and the next one is in Portuguese so we were not able to take a tour of the plantation. We only get to see some items on display in the first room. They have a comfortable tea room behind the main building where you can have a tea and some snack. You can also buy tea leaves there. Their tea blends are really good. I bought them as souvenirs. I think they are not available elsewhere as I have not seen them in the stores. I suggest you order some tea and snack and consume it on their covered terrace outside as it is overlooking the plantation and Atlantic Ocean. Tea-rrific!…

Went for a short visit. Not a lot to see, but the information on tea harvesting was interesting. They give you a tasting of their broken leaf tea at the end of the visit and you can buy bags of the 3 different varieties they grow.

It looks more like tourist spot than a working factory. There’s no sign of workers either in the field or those that might be packing tea. The “plantation” looked significantly smaller than Gorreana. The tea sample of their special blend was good but nothing remarkable.

Nice part of a day tour, interesting to see the only tea plantations in Europe. They offer free tea at the relaxing shopping area. Tea at veranda is charged.
