Went to Sayulita with a group of friends. We all live in Puerto Vallarta full time so may have a different perspective than a person who is visiting Sayulita as a tourist. It's hard not to compare Sayulita to Puerto Vallarta since they are only...More

We took a ride up to Sayulita while visiting the Nuevo Vallarta area. The ride through the mountains was really nice. The town is small and very tourist friendly. There are lots of little shops and restaurants. The beach was very busy when we were...More

Sayulita is a hidden gem, we will definitely be going back! My only recommendation is not to go during the month of July. It was extremely hot and somewhat miserable to walk around in. Although it is considered their rainy season, it didn’t rain once...More

First time to Sayulita and I was not disappointed. The swell was smallish and the water warm and I was able to get up on my board and ride the first wave under direction of my surf instructor. Would recommend learning here and with Sayulita...More

One of the best beaches on the Pacific coast, as busy or as quiet as you want if you walk a little further. So much to see and do and not commercialised, perfect day out and want to visit for longer next time ♥️

A beautiful cozy beach with surfing for beginners. On the left a hill with palm trees and villas, and on the right several deserted beaches. A buzy little town with colorful shops ends with a few restaurants on the beach and a thick strip of...More

Nice beach but the water seems filthy and smelly like trash... We do love the city Sayulita though, it’s very nice.

Took the trip from PV to this beach on recommendation from family who live here saying it should be less crowded than PV. Well, it was jam packed with people. However, the beach itself was beautiful. Didn’t know before hand but noticed the gold sand...More

I went twice, Friday and Sunday (today). Today it was fine. Friday I did get a whiff of sewage smell, not in the main town or beach, but a few hundred yards away. So, I don't know how severe it was when you went, but overall... More

They are working on the sewerage system in the town, near the river. No smell on the main beach when we visited in June.

I was in Sayulita a few weeks ago and I can't say I saw raw sewage, I had no health issues or heard about people with health concerns and saw a lot of people in the water. However there's an area on the South side of the... More
